Riley Life Receives Business Excellence Award

Riley Life Industries, Inc was honored to receive the Sustainability Award at the 2009 Business Excellence Awards ceremony held Thursday Oct. 1, 2009. The event was hosted by the Durham Chamber of Commerce and took place at the Hilton Hotel in Durham, NC.

The Sustainability Award focused on Durham Businesses that help make the city a stronger, more sustainable community through a creative initiative or program. RLI secured the award through their Green Plus Certification and in their dedication to using Riley Life as a mechanism for positive change in the world and in the local community.

Other nominee finalists for the Sustainability Award included Global Electronic Processing Inc (GEEP), Quintiles, Triangle Laptops, LLC, and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Chris Bingham, CEO of Riley Life, sees the award as the first step towards creating a more sustainable business environment. "We are honored to be recognized for the influence we currently have on our community. However, Riley Life is just beginning to implement our plans for positive effect in our region and beyond. In partnering with strong organizations like Green Plus, this impact will proliferate as Riley Life grows."
